2 more rounds to go and round 28 didn't bring a lot of wisdom concerning the spots for Play Off I. On the other side, Lokeren is sure that I will end last!

The results

  • Standard - Mouscron: 1 - 1
    • If there was one team who did deserve the victory than I should have been Mouscron. Standard did loose again some points in their chase for a spot in PO I. A little bit more about Mouscron later!
  • Charleroi - Genk: 1 - 1
    • The first half was for Genk and they should have scored more goals. In the second half Mouscron did score out of nowhere and from then on they were the better team. Both teams don't gain anything with only 1 miserable point. Genk now only has a 6 point lead, which will be halved at the start of the Play Off. Charleroi can forgot PO 1.
  • Oostende - Waasland Beveren: 1 - 1
    • Well with this point Oostende is safe and will not relegate. But the coach decided that his performance wasn't good enough and stepped down. I do regret this decision because he did have a great first season as head coach, Oostende is just lacking quality. Probably he did step down after a discussion with the board about next season and they couldn't promise anything!
  • Kortrijk - Cercle Brugge: 2 - 1
  • Club Brugge - St Truiden: 1 - 0
    • An undeserved victory of Club Brugge but with this victory they did decrease the lead of Genk. The goal was scored after a penalty which was awarded after a schwalbe.  Strange that the VAR didn't recall the decision of the referee!
  • Waregem - Gent: 1 - 3
    • Didn't see the game, so can't tell anything about it. The fact is that Gent did need this victory to keep their chances for PO 1 alive!
  • Lokeren - Anderlecht: 1 - 2
    • Well before the season everybody would have found this score normal. But it ws tougher than they imagined. Lokeren seems doomed to relegate but in Belgium nothing is sure yet, they have 2 more chances to stay in. KV Mechelen could be refused to promote and Mouscron could loose their license for next season due to financial false play!
      Anderlecht needs 2 more victories to reach Play Off 1!
  • Antwerp - Eupen: 2 - 1
    • Antwerp is guaranteed to play PO 1 with this victory. For Eupen this was already an end of season game!
