Jannik Vestergaard who has been catching interest from several teams like Tottenham Hotspur has finally decided to move permanently to Leicester City from Southampton on a three year deal. Westergaard started his professional career with Hoffenheim in 2011, then played for Werder Bremen and Monchengladbach. During his time at Monchengladbach, he emerged as a key defender, attracting interest from several clubs, and in 2018 he moved to Southampton, when Virgil van Dijk moved to Liverpool.

Westergaard should be able to adapt to the Leicester City team because he is very familiar with the team and he will have time to make his place as Wesley was injured in the preseason game and it is likely take a long time before he returns to the team but Leicester didn't want to put the team in peril, Rogers just have to mount more challenging season and had to make all his possible best to get him.

Leicester will start their opening game against Wolverhampton and it is certain that Westergaard will be on the lineup to play the game. Westergaard Played so well last season for Southampton and he was one of the major player in the first team by appearing in 30 in the English Premier League, his defensive ability was excellent and it cannot be underestimated. Leicester was about to begin another Challenge as they recently won the Charity Shield against the reigning champion Manchester City.
