For a long time, AC Milan have been looking for Girondins Bordeueax's versatile midfielder Yacine Adli. Yesterday he only got the last 20 minutes on the pitch in Bordeaux's Ligue 1 match against Olympique Marseille which will make Adli soon be a thing of the past in the Ligue 1 club. According to media, Adli will switch to AC Milan this week on a four-year contract, where there will be an option for another year. The Frenchman is said to cost Milan €10 Million including performance related bonuses.

Both offensive and central midfield,

Adli's versatility in midfield has certainly been an important factor in Milan's considerations over a transfer of the player. The Frenchman can play in both the central midfield and the offensive part. Earlier this summer, Hakan Calhanoglu switched for free to Inter, leaving Brahim Diaz as the only offensive midfielder in the squad along with Daniel Maldini.

In central midfield, Franck Kessié has suffered an injury and the Ivorian is not expected to return until after the season's first international break in September. Adli can therefore also be important for Milan in that part of midfield in the opening matches of the upcoming Serie A season. Precisely Kessié's injury is reportedly the reason why Milan have accelerated the process around the purchase of Adli.
