It was an awesome display from the three times African champions, as they came from behind to humble Lesotho at the Setsoto Stadium earlier today. It's their second win in a row and Nigerians all over the world have taken to their social media handles to eulogize the Super Eagles. You will recall that the Super Eagles registered their first win against Benin few days ago, as they continue to fight for a spot in the next edition of African Nations Cup.

The game ended in a 2-4 victory for the Super Eagles, as Gernot Rohr's men proved too resilient for their host. The Crocodiles of Lesotho showed signs of provocation when the game started, as they drew the first blood to light up their home fans. It didn't take long for the home side to send a message and the Super Eagles were smart enough to react without much ado. Lesotho had taken the lead through Masoabi Nkoto's header just 11 minutes into the game. It was a well headed ball which Nigeria's goalkeeper Akpeyi no chance to parry away.

A defensive lapse from the Eagles had seen them concede that first goal, however, they kept their cool and pressed for an equaliser. After mounting much pressure on the Lesotho defense, Everton's Alex Iwobi netted an equaliser just before the half hour mark, thanks to an assist from the on-fire Lille striker Victor Osihmen. Nigeria dominated the game and it didn't take long for them to get their second goal of the game. One of the most in form African footballers in Europe Chukwueze, who is currently plying his trade at Villarreal put Nigeria ahead with a splendid header at the 38th minute. It was 2-1 before the break.

The second half resumed with the Super Eagles pressing to put the game beyond Lesotho's reach. Gernot Rohr made some few changes to bolster the team. He brought in Ramon Azeez to replace Joe Aribo in the 71th minute, and it didn't take long for Nigeria to score after the Substitution. The in form Lille striker Victor Osihmen got his first goal of the match in the 76th minute, thanks to a well done job by Ola Aina on the left flank. The inclusion of Osimhen in Nigeria's squad has brought a huge relief to Nigerians who have been restive about Ighalo's replacement after the striker's retirement from the national team. However, it seems Osihmen will surpass Ighalo and Nigerians have no worries about Tammy Abraham's refusal to play for the Super Eagles. The Lille striker will later get his brace at the 85th minute to make it 4 goals for Nigeria, but the home side got a another goal before the final whistle to make it 2-4. It's two wins from two games for Nigeria so far, which means they're topping group L with 6 points. With that, I can it a rap!
