REVEALED: Manchester United reject Watford's bid for Dean Henderson

English side Watford decided to pull of a late offer to sign Manchester United's second choice shot-stopper Dean Henderson

According to reports, the offer was made about an hour before the closure of the transfer window. However, the Old Trafford giants were having none of that. Considering him as a valuable member of the squad.

Henderson's request

From emanating statements, it was understood that Dean Henderson had previously wanted to take a loan move away from Old Trafford. However, manager Ralf Ragnick is unwilling to give that a listen ear.

Reason being that he believes there would be a need for Dean Henderson at some point in the later stages of the season.

Henderson and David De Gea

At some point last season, many had believed Dean Henderson had the potential to replace David De Gea in goal. Particularly considering the fact that the Spaniard had a dip in form as well.

However, at the beginning of the season, Dean Henderson was tested positive to Covid-19 hence was unavailable to represent the Red Devils. Who had to fall back on the shoulders of David De Gea?

Overview

Despite falling back of David De Gea, the need for Dean Henderson's presence can never be overemphasized.

Hence why they refused to let him go in the last hours. If their was a potential replacement on line, it may have been a different story. Nonetheless, that did not prove to be the case.
