UEFA has posted the top sprinters of the UEFA Champions League last season.

This year's ranking brings a big surprise. Virgil van Dijk, newly appointed by UEFA "Best Player of the Year", managed to reach the highest speed in a match played in UCL.

Van Dijk managed to beat Leroy Sane, Gareth Bale or Kyle Walker, players known for their sprinting qualities.

The moment when Van Dijk reached the top speed happened in the away game against Barcelona, lost by Liverpool with 0-3.

34.5 kilometers per hour managed to reach the Dutchman in his sprint.
