In my previous match review entitled Dare We Keep Dreaming, England and the Great Escape I pretty much avoided the subject matter of how much of a Dirty and Cheating team Colombia were last night against England.

Now I am not one to usually accuse teams of cheating, every team has a few moments in a match where their players dive and produce a few dirty challenges. But Colombia last night were on a whole new level of dirtiness and cheating. This is why they picked up a total of 6 yellow cards to England's 2. To be fair one of those cards needed to be Red when Colombia's Wilmar Barrios head butted Jordan Hendersen in the chest.

Remember the Zidane head butt on Materazzi in the 2006 World Cup Final between France and Italy? He was sent off instantly but for some reason last night Wilmar Barrios just got a yellow card. Take a look for yourself...

The England penalty was a joke too...How on earth Carlos Sanchez thought he could get away with virtually wrestling Harry Kane to the floor and almost humping him in the end I have no idea. Everything Columbia did was premeditated.

But that penalty challenge was just the warm up to an even dirtier trick one of the Colombia players tried to pull. Apart from the players showing no class in what was a blatant penalty by anyone's standards and surrounding the referee complaining for god knows how long, Johan Mojica also tried to destroy the penalty spot to effect Harry Kane's chances of scoring...

Johan Mojica Tries to Destroy the Penalty Spot

There were countless other dirty challenges by Colombia throughout the match. They clearly didn't want to win fairly by playing a Gentlemen's game but instead wanted to kick the living c**p out of as many England players as possible. Cheaters justice in the end...Good Riddance to a very dirty team.
