Serie A outsider Chievo has fired the head coach Lorenzo D'Anna. Under him, the team from Veron lost six of their eight games during this season and currently sit bottom of the Italian league.

The club has already found a new tactician. The 70-year-old Gian Piero Ventura, who used to work with Italy national team between 2016 and 2017, is set to officially take over in the coming days.

In the past, Ventura coached over a dozen of various Italian clubs, including Sampdoria, Udinese, Napoli and Torino, but Chievo will be a completely new page in his biography.
