Ligue 1 outsider Nantes, who are currently taking the 19th place, have changed their head coach. Portugal's Miguel Cardoso, who had been in charge since summer, was replaced by Vahid Halilhodzic.

The 66-year-old Bosnian, who played for Nantes as a striker in the 1980s, has already coached a number of French clubs including Lille, Rennes and Paris Saint-Germain.

More recently, he led the Japan national team to the 2018 World Cup finals, but was fired two months before the tournament.
