Having completed a successful season with his club side, Callum Hudson Odoi touched down in his motherland for what still remains an undisclosed reason. The 20 year old who is of Ghanian Parentage had hope of being called up to the English National team side for the upcoming Euro Competition but was snubbed by head coach, Gareth Southgate.

As things stand, he is still very eligible to feature for the Black Stars of Ghana even though he has already been capped three times by The Three Lions. This is due to FIFA's revised eligibility rules which came into force last year. The rules permit the winger to make a switch to Ghana provided he has not made more than three senior appearances for the English national side and all of his appearances had come before he clocked the age of 21.

Hudson-Odoi would be eligible for the switch by March 25 next year provided he still hasn't exceeded the three-match limit stated by the FIFA rule.

He was spotted at Accra, Ghana in the company of popular Ghanian singer, King Promise. Of course, this has sparked a lot of excitement among Ghanians who rejoice at the prospect of having a Champions League winner among their ranks come the next African Cup of Nations. Many have even gone on various social media platforms to express their joy at seeing him visit home once more.

Personally, I think it'll be great to see Hudson-Odoi play for Ghana. Lately, the squad hasn't given as much as expected and having such a talent would definitely go a long way in helping CK Akonnor's side.
