Liverpool lost again to Chelsea in the FA Cup tie 2-0, and that means that my darling Anfield Giants have lost 3 of their last four games. A loss against Athletico Madrid in the Champions League started our woes, and it was followed by another loss to Watford during the weekend which ended our unbeaten run in the EPL and now the latest defeat was the one to Chelsea in the FA Cup.

............................

The last time Liverpool lost back to back games was in January 2019, and since then they have gone on to become arguably one of the best teams on the planet based on current form but now they are looking like a shadow of themselves and the team is starting to look very unsure and lacking in confidence. This is a very crucial time for the team and it is not one where they should losing to other teams anyhow. We still have a big games coming up this weekend and the second leg of our Champions League tie with Athletico Madrid is almost upon us, and the Liverpool team cannot afford to begin being complacent and losing confidence. This can also have a negative impact in their run to win the Premier League this season, because if they continue to drop points it can give Manchester City the incentive to begin to play well and see if they can catch up.

Liverpool have had a rather unbelievable season till now, but it is beginning to look like the house of cards is crumbling and falling down. As a diehard Liverpool fan, I am deeply saddened by these turn of events, but I still believe the team has what it takes to turn their fortunes, they are still the best in England.
