"There's something that the Kop wants you to know

We've got the best in the world, and his name's Bobby Firmino

Our number 9, give the ball to Bobby and he'll score"

That's a line from the famous anthem that Liverpool fans sing to idolize Roberto Firmino. Put aside the fact that I'm a Liverpool fan, put aside the fact that I love him even when he commits blunders, and put aside the fact that I might be a bit opinionated about him. Before you agree or disagree, analyse (if you've seen a Liverpool game) his actions, or watch (if you haven't seen a Liverpool game) his movements on and off the ball and judge based on what you see.

Liverpool on paper use a 4-3-3 formation, but in reality and on the pitch it switches to sort of a 4-1-2-2-1. Salah plays as the lone man up front, and sometimes Mane joins him. But Firmino is required to sit back. As a number 9 he is less of a goal scorer and more the provider. Think of any no 9 you know from; Aguero, to Lewandowski, to Gabriel Jesus, to Olivier Giroud, even Anthony Martial. All they do is sit in the opponent's half, wait for the balls to come to them and try to convert. But no not Bobby, Firmino is a lot of the times in his own half joining the defence if they are under pressure. And when it is time he starts the attack, and unleashes Salah on the wings who uses his pace.

Firmino can then be seen sprinting into position to maybe poke the ball into the net. Now there is the kind of striker every the wants to have. Tireless, creator, goal scorer, joins defence and breaks play. In my opinion he ranks among the top 3 strikers in the world, I don't know about you.
