One of the greatest feeling of humanity is that feeling of going down the memory lane while reminiscing on good and bad moments. Last night, Samuel Eto’o Phils took this part as hi had interview with La liga Africa. Is inarguably the most decorated African football player of all times. The four times Africa best player of the year had played virtually in all the major leagues in Europe and tasted the different football cultures and philosophies.
When asked who is the greatest player he shared the dressing with, he wasted no time in pointing at his former Barcelona team make and Spanish international Andres Iniesta
“I shared a dressing-room with many great players, if I have to choose one I would say Iniesta”
Eto’o; now 39 of age said he would have mentioned Lionel Messi instead but the tactical abilities of Iniesta impressed him a whole lot.
The two players had a wonderful memories at Camp Nou where both won a number of trophies in Eto'o five years stay in Barcelona. Both lifted two Champions league, winning three La Liga titles, two Super Cup and one Copa del Rey parting ways.
Samuel Eto’o who scored 163 goals in 280 games for Real Madrid, Mallorca and Barcelona later moved to Inter Milan in Italy, then to Anzhi Makhachkala in Russia as the highest earning football player and finally came to England playing for Chelsea and then Everton.
