In the year 1994, One of the greatest of football strikers of all time joined Monaco Football club. Thierry Henry played for Monaco football club for 5 years before he joined Arsenal in 1999, It was his consistent form and Goal Scoring ability that saw him as the most prolific and Dynamic Strikers of that period. His first touch goals and one-to-one finishes were of the top quality and his pace through the defense was commendable.

Thierry Henry had a wonderful International run for France, he even holds the record of most international goals for his nation but it's not his wonders at International Football that made him the best striker of the world during his days of football, but his unbelievable expedition at Arsenal where he spent 8 years to transform into a striker the whole world had eyes on. With more than 220 Goals for Arsenal, Thierry Henry was the key to the success of Arsenal football club and the manager Arsene Wenger.

I know you will like to know why he has been my favorite for a long time now, here is the answer to that.

Arsenal last won the Barclays Premier League in the year 2003-2004, Every year one or the other team wins the title but does anybody among you remember what was different that year?

Arsenal was unbeaten throughout the league with 26 wins and 12 draws. Gunners were considered front-runners for winning the league with the likes of Bergkamp, Roberto Pires, Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry but their performance was way ahead than the expected performance. The victory gave the Club a new hype and Thierry Henry was the most famous player of that time as he continued to be on the top of the list of top-scorers in the barclays premier league for the third time in a row.

Thierry Henry scored 39 goals in that year alone and I literally added myself to the bunch of fans who were in love with Football, Gunners and Thierry Henry, the one with utmost composure and skillful finish. In 2005, I was only 12 and I started playing EA Sports FIFA, a PC game with wonderful graphics and screenplay. I always chose Arsenal as my home side, I loved to manage the team and score goals for Thierry Henry. I played many seasons with him alongside the team. This does sound childish but this has been one of the phases of my life and he literally has been the reason I follow Football.

Thierry Henry left Arsenal after 8 years due to his transfer to Barcelona, he later surprised the world with his signing with New York Red Bulls. We did see him again with Arsenal in 2012 when he transferred to Arsenal on loan for 2 months in 2012. He scored his last goal during that tenure and I still remember the applause and affection fans showed to him. I am sharing a piece of it below.

Last Goal of the KIng for Arsenal

We saw Thierry Henry coaching Belgium in this year's World Cup, we could see how the team had a wonderful run until they had a tough game against France in the semi-finals. I will not say that I supported Belgium but I definitely didn't want them to lose. Thierry Henry has been amazing throughout his Career and some credit definitely goes to Arsene Wenger for making him one of the best.

Do you know there is a statue of Theirry Henry outside Emirates Stadium portraying his celebration?

The statue illustrates his celebration after he scored a wonder goal against Tottenham Hotspur.

Wonder Goal

Thierry Henry was one of the greatest figures in the history of Arsenal Club and for me, he has been my best watch and my forever favorite.
