Just seven months after suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark's opening fixture at Euro 2020, reports has it that Christian Eriksen is discussing with Brentford of the English Premier League.
The Danish midfielder was fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator and as such his former club, Inter Milan had to release him as it runs foul of certain Serie A health stipulation.
The Telegraph reported that negotiations are ongoing between Eriksen and "the Bees"– Brentford, over a move that will last till the end of this season.
Such a deal would favour the 29-year-old's dream of representing his country at this year's World Cup,to be held in Qatar. Eriksen is no stranger to the Brentford's head coach, as he worked with him in the Denmark youth teams and with names like Mathias Jorgensen,Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen in the Brentford team, Eriksen will be at home with fellow national team players.
At the beginning of January, it was common knowledge that interview in Danish TV wherein Eriksen said he feels in proper shape to play professional football again. He particularly spoke of his strong desire to play in the coming world Cup. "My dream is to rejoin the national team.." he says.

Should Eriksen complete this Brentford move,it would be a remarkable come back for an exceptional midfielder after that heart-stopping moment of his collapse at the last Euros with heart attack.
However Brentford manager Thomas Frank has now spoken out saying, explaining how it is flattering to be linked with Christian Eriksen. He is of the opinion that Eriksen should be back playing at the highest level. Finally he confirmed that he has not had any discussion with Christian just yet.
