My moan day post for this week will be centered on the match between Leicester City and Newcastle United last week in the English premier league and i think a club like Newcastle really deserve to be encourage because that is the main aim of happy moan day post. To support every downfall in sport and make them stand fit again. It was really a whitewash scoreline between both sides as Leicester City show Newcastle United what it really takes to survive in the league with 5 goals to nil.
Newcastle performance so far since the start of the league calls for some amendment if they really wants to continue in the league next season, they have only managed a win so far in the league and that was against Tottenham Hotspur and two draws in 7 league games which makes the club sitting in the relegation zone and if proper care is not taking, they may just end up again in the championship which is the second division of the league. Leicester City on the other side seems to have been doing well under their manager Brendan Rogers winning 4 games and drawing two in their first 8 league matches and their lost this season was against Manchester United and the recent one to Liverpool in the week 8.
The atmosphere was really grate at king's power stadium when both teams walked out of the tunnel to the pitch and it doesn't took so lo g before the celebration begins for Leicester when Ricardo Pereira put the team ahead in just 16 minutes into the game and while Newcastle will be hoping to come back into the game with an equalizer, their worst moment came in the game when Hayden was red carded in the 43 minutes just few minutes to the end of the first half. That look like where the team struck in the game and their performance in the second half was not up to the task. Leicester City really makes them pay for the red card.
Leicester was fully of energy and determination in the game scoring from all of their five shots on target, the team since the arrival of Brendan Rogers have gain their winning mentality back and accumulating more league points after Liverpool and Manchester City in the league. Newcastle really suffer in the game even before Hayden was sent off and it continues for them in the second half when Vardy doubled the lead for Leicester in the 54 minutes, Newcastle goal keeper Dubravka would have save that but failing to do that makes the visitors to be destabilized in the game. The third goal came from an own goal through Dummett in the 57 minutes before Vardy made if 4 goals lead with an header in the 64 minutes and finally in the stoppage, Nigeria Midfielder Ndidi get himself on the score sheet after a brilliant performance in the game.
What can we says went wrong in the game? Newcastle manager anyway did not believe the fact that they lost the game mercilessly was due to Hayden red card, during the post match conference, he made it clear that though it was a bad challenge from the player but it would have been easy to get away with during his own days as a player and what he think was the problem with his team is lack of confidence in front of goal and the worst of it is that the team failed to registered a shot on target against the foxes.
I will like to encourage the team with this saying from Hellen Keller which says
Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.
The team really need to develop a winning character but according to Keller, it will never come with ease and quite but through experience of trial and suffering which i think the team is facing now and with focus and being ambitious, they can achieve success in their games.
