The president of Bulgarian football association has resigned from his role following the recent racial abuse that was directed to England players from their home fans when both countries faced each other in the EURO 2020 qualifying match that ended 6-0 in favour of England. The game between both sides was halted twice due to the fear of racism from the Bulgarian fans towards some England black players, the atmosphere at Levski Stadium in Sofia was so deteriorating after England player Tyrone Mings approached the referee to told him about how the home fans were using some odd words against him and the rest of the England players.

The football chief made his feelings known against the bad act from the home fans by saying it is really a bad image to the Bulgarian football as whole. It was gathered that the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has vow to withdraw his support from the Bulgarian Football Union after the defeat which is really a bad outcome to the Bulgarian football. Mihaylov who was a member of the UEFA committee since 2011 before the match made some recommendation to UEFA in what was tagged **Unjust Branding** based on what he noticed during the build-up.

Bulgaria was grouped together with England and countries such as Czech Republic, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bulgaria in group A and as it stand now in the group, they can still made it through to the European tournament next year with a chance of being qualifying through a play off but the issue of racial abuse subjected to England players may see the country being rule out of the qualification stage.

According to UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin in a statement said the football body will try everything in their possible best to eradicate the issue of racism from the world of football and has urge every stakeholders to support them in waging war against racism and according to him, it is not what football governing body can solve alone, they need the support of government in unity to put an end to it. Lot of charges has now been put up against Bulgarian Football Association such as nazi salute, racial abuse and many other.

England players really did well by not walking away from the game and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has gave his support to the team Manager Gareth Southgate and the entire team for dealing with the mess in a mature manner, Bulgarian team captain Ivelin Popov also acted in a polite way after spending the whole of first half break to plead to the home fans to stop the racist act. Bulgarian Football Union will now face the punishment for failing to deal with their fans as various body has now stood up to correct the behaviour.
