Senegal secured a well deserved win over Poland in what should have been an evenly-contested battle. Nevertheless, defensive blunders allowed by the European side set up a party for the Africans. In the first half team of Adam Nawalka took a run by Niang, who combined too easily with Mane and Gueye. The latter decided to shot from outside the box without any particular obstruction. The shot could be an easy catch for Szczesny but a deflection from Cionek made it lethal.

Poland did not look anything special in the remaining part of the first half. Nor after the break the White Eagles managed to create anything special. Nawalka sent Blaszchykowski onto the pitch in a desperate attempt to lighten up the game. But apart from a couple of good dead balls and crosses nothing happened.

And Senegal manage to use another defensive mistake when Krychowiak played a bizarre attempt at a back pass and Niang latches onto it. He knocks it around Sczcesny before firing home his first international goal. 'Great from Niang, absolutely diabolical from everyone involved on Poland's side', the Daily Mail wrote.

Poland awoke just in the very end of the match. They managed to score not later than in 85th minute and not without adventures. Krychowiak netted with a header from a free-kick, but his effort had to be referred to the VAR officials.

Still time was against the Poles and for Senegal. The African recorded a well-deserved win.
