Manchester United's quest for Champions league qualification continues as they host West Ham on Wednesday at Old Trafford, which would be their penultimate game of this season and their last game at home. United would be looking to bounce back after a very poor performance against Chelsea in the F.A cup semifinal which they lost 3-1. This defeat ended the 19 games unbeaten streak across all competitions for Manchester United.

Leciester lost 3-0 to Spurs ensures that Manchester United are now in complete control of their destiny as far as top 4 is concerned. The Reds will be hoping to pile up pressure on Brendon Rodgers and his team with their win against West Ham before the two sides meet on the final day.

The devils are now level on points and on goal difference with the foxes, which makes this match a must win game. A win here, could help United claim the 3rd spot till Liverpool vs Chelsea is played out. If Chelsea wins, it could mean United in the 4th spot, but if Chelsea lose or even a draw would take United to the 3rd spot, as United have a much better goal difference as compared to The Blues.

Manchester United haven't lost a Premier league game since their 2-0 defeat at Burnley back in January and are in a pretty good vein right now. West Ham meanwhile have dragged themselves out of the Relegation battle with a run of just 1 defeat in their last five games, and now require a maximum 1 point from their remaining games to ensure safety.

Given how much is at stake, let's have a look at how Manchester United could lineup against West Ham :

With the Manager's backing and no one really to compete him, David could well be between the posts. Sergio Romero being an obvious replacement if Ole feels he has to change. The Spaniard by the way is just one clean sheet away from surpassing Peter Schmeichel's 112. Should he achieve that he will have the most clean sheets of any goalkeeper for the club in this competition. From being the best to making blunders left right and center, funny how time's change so quickly.

With Eric injured, the CB pair of Maguire and Lindelof should play out the full match. Ole hinted that Shaw is deemed fit after an ankle twist at Southampton, but still Williams should play at LB and Wan Bissaka at RB is no brainer. Wan bissaka has more tackles than any RB in the PL. A young promising talent, and a great signing.

Matic should start, but might be rested and McTominay could well feature in his place. After playing the whole match against Chelsea, he might be a doubt for the starting 11. Pogba and Bruno will definitely play given the importance of this match.

Attack would be covered by the front three of Mason, Marcus and Martial. There is no doubt given the form they are in and also the lack of attacking options Ole has. The goal scoring options with these 5 attacking players gives United the edge they were lacking before and they no more are dependent on any single player.

West Ham : WDLWW

Score Prediction and What to Expect :

3-0 to Manchester United. It being a must win game, and a win would give them a cushion of draw for their last game against The Foxes. Manchester United would go all out in this one and given their form, could comfortably win.

That's it for this one. Until then, Stay Safe!

Cheers!
