Not many days ago SAFF championship started, abut the 2 rounds of group stage is already over. Tonight, there would be third round of the SAFF championship matches for the group A.

As it stands, Bangladesh from group A is near to the semifinal after defeating Pakistan and Bhutan in previous fixtures but not guaranteed. They still need a draw or Pakistan to loose against Bhutan in the final round. Pakistan have the easy fixture in the third round and the win may secure the semifinal but it may go down to goal difference or Nepal should loose against Bangladesh. This it is clear that Nepal must win the game against Bangladesh. A win against Bangladesh will secure the semifinal for Nepal because of the superior goal difference, and may win the group too if they can score some goals.

Here, we are more concerned about Nepal and we need to win against Bangladesh for the semi-final spot. In the last 3 matches, both team won once while drew once. In 2013 SAFF Championship in Nepal, Nepal defeated Bangladesh by 2-0 goal. Then in the other friendly match in 2015, Bangladesh won Nepal by 1-0. In the most recent friendly in 2016, Bangladesh and Nepal played stalemate 0-0.
