During the press conference after his summit with Donald Trump in Helsinki, Russia's president Vladimir Putin made a special present for his US colleague.

After a journalist asked a question regarding Syria using some football metaphores, Putin got a World Cup ball from a member of his delegation and gave it to Trump saying "now the ball is on your court".

The US president said that he would like to give the ball to his 12-year-old son Barron, who is a soccer fan, and he tossed it at his wife Melania, who was sitting in the front row.

Trump thanked Putin for the gift and expressed hope that US, who will co-host the World Cup in 2026 with Canada and Mexico, will do its job well.
