9 goals in 7 Serie A TIM matches, 13 scored all season if you include the Italian Cup match with U.S. Lecce. The leading scorer of the Italian league and the best overall scorer in the five major European leagues, Krzysztof Piatek is definitely one of the true revelations in this first part of the 2018/19 season. A dominant attacker who arrived in Italy from Polish side KS Cracovia this past summer (21 goals in 36 matches in the 2017/18 season), the 23-year old has been on top form carrying Genoa this season and becoming a true symbol of the club.

After receiving just his second call-up to the Polish National Team, Piatek returned from the International Break commitments after having played in the match against Portugal (scoring his first goal for the nation) in an eventual 3-2 loss. However, he is now focused, ready to challenge Juventus for the resumption of the Serie A.

"Right now I'm focused on the challenge against the Bianconeri, it will be very difficult because we will be facing the best team in Italy, but we will do everything possible to win" - said the Polish striker at 'Piatek Day' organized by Genoa this afternoon at the Genoa Museum and Club Store.

It is possible that in the match, to try to stop the Polish striker would be the former goalkeeper for I Grifoni, Mattia Perin: "Who would I like to meet in goal between Perin and Szczesny? I know Szczesny well because I played in the national team with him. I do not know Perin well, but in spite of everything I say I would prefer Wojciech."

Returning to comment on the challenge against the bianconeri and Cristiano Ronaldo, Piatek stated: "I have scored more than him? Ronaldo is the best player in the world, ever. I want to improve myself every match. Pistols ready for Juventus Stadium? I love these fans. When I have a chance and we are playing well I'm always ready to perform."

To end the interview with a note on the transfer market, Piatek said: "Many clubs want me? I'm at Genoa and am only focused on them. We have lots of games to play and we are only at the beginning of the season, then we will see what will happen at the end".

A striker on pace for one of the best seasons of his career and the Serie A TIM, we will see how long Piatek is able to keep up this exquisite form.
