I saw you tube video clip about what is the secret behind success of Norwegian club Bodo. This club from little town of north Norway which was flipping between second and first league made big change when current coach Kjetil Knutsen arrived. Since than they overthrown the best side there Rosenborg. They won 4 consecutive titles, played in final stages or Conference and this year Europa league. They eliminated clubs like Lazio, Olimpiacos, Fenerbahce. So what is secret behind success of this club ?

They say they changed way of thinking. Their coach is more interested in how good or bad they play in the game than in final score. He didn't use win in his interviews for long time. Players there can cancel contract and leave club at any point if they are unhappy. They are like family and on the pitch you see they are trying to play quick one-two touches football and attempt to explore space they find in opponent's half. I remember their match against Ajax few seasons ago when they got eliminated after great performance because one player missed open goal in second leg. They know what they are doing.

Contrary to that Tottenham board don't know what are they doing. They are trying to save some money where you can't save it and that ends up in arrogant wasting of money, buying not good enough players who become even worse while they are in Tottenham because of bad coaching which drop their value and you end up losing money. Respectable sources said they don't care to pay huge money for player because it's on many installments, but when it comes to salaries they will not pay over 125k per week to players with only few the best 200k. However this saving money attempts apply also to staff members, medical and recruitment team. Here is what I think must change urgently.

This approach is very wrong from business perspective and here is why. If you try to save money on salaries of your recruitment team or people who do football things then you end up with people like Scot Munn, Johan Lange etc... If you do that with staff then you end up like collector of rejected personal who proved they are not good enough in clubs they previously worked or with coach who never coached in top 5 leagues. Those people will then bring you not quality I'd say half players and bad coaching staff and coach will make them even worse than they really are. Consequence of that is devaluation of your assets - players. Their price will drop down and you will be forced to sell or gift them to other clubs.

Recruitment team, coach and coaching staff are everything. You need the best on the market for those positions and you must not try to save money on their salaries. Good recruitment team will be able to find you not too expensive good players whose head is not in clouds and who don't demand 200, 300k per week! Quality coach and staff will be able to make them even better! Club will then make better results and their games will not be ignored and you will end up selling them for much higher price when time comes! Some failed guys rejected from Hibernian or Aston Villa will not do that for sure! Even great coach will not be able to make success if you don't allow him to have quality staff for everyday training sessions. You can't allow coach to bring just 1,2 staff members, you need to let him pick up his quality staff! You don't put your relative in staff because you are control freak! Those people need to be top notch. They bring good players in and make them even better and at the end you earn money.

Moore

Players from academy need to have clear path to first team. You are not buying or loaning players like Tel or Werner when you have player like Moore in your youth. Fans love players coming form academy the most. Fans in front of tv also love to hear "he's one of our own" song too. That make fans proud. Look at what little Yamal is doing in Barcelona! People are watching Barcelona nowadays massively because of him, Pedri and way of play Hansi Flick is doing. How Barca academy can make such players and Spurs can't ? Why Spurs academy players are never ready for first squad football ? Maybe Spurs academy can, but they don't have path to first team ? Kane became player he is now only because Tim Sherwood decided to give him chance despite chairman Daniel Levy wanted to sell him for plate of fish to Leicester and complained to coach why his multi million asset is not playing and some kid is starting ? Who in right mind is buying Werner and Tel when he has Moore and block his path ? For Moore you don't need to pay loan fee, transfer fee etc... He costs bald zero, you just need to give him some salary. Let's mention Scarlett too. He's boy seen like Kane's successor who played against older guys in youth and scored goals. He was outstanding talent! Where is he now ? He entered in one or two games, participated in goal scoring action and vanished and I am hearing now he went to groin surgery ?! Sometimes I feel like Tottenham players train box and not football.

It's possible to be decent in league at least like Brighton, to earn on transfer market, but you need right recruitment personal which know succession plan for case any player, coach or staff member leaves the club. You can't do that with cheep Aston Villa rejects. You can even be better than that like you were while you had Poch and Mitchell. You need to decide what kind of football you want to play and then bring coach, staff and players who can play it. You can't play possession based football with players who are bad with the ball and lack football IQ and just ran around and with one trick Pony on the bench. If you try that you get players running around like headless chickens not knowing why and where, not knowing when to make right time pass to make good action, how and when to make offside trap etc...

It's time to change way of thinking inside this club. You can't save money on salaries of recruitment team, staff and coach.
