Ex Red Star, Spartak Moscow and Manchester United player Nemanja Vidic sent an open letter to public. Title was "It's enough of this". In it he said that football system in Serbia is destructive and short term. It's spending football workers very fast, setup up people with suspicious intentions in power and work in concern of football managers and officials. It's allowing people with doubtful biographies to earn big money. He asks how it's possible to sack coach who qualified for World Cup in Russia just before it started ? This system is teaching children that it's important who is your agent and not coach. System is corrupting young players in youth! Then after failing in competition it's always players and coaches who are guilty, but system is always good and remains the same! What system made these coaches and players ? Shame on you!
Football Association is full of obedient people who always defend president and decayed system, not mentioning 'successes' like not regular rigged championship, non sport relationship between Red Star and Partizan, dividing of public, distrust of public not to mention 'successes' of nation squad! Competent people in our football are those who manipulate with system and law! Just ask them where and how did they earn their money! If we don't change this we can't go forward. He finished with words I am very curious to see which next competent obedient will defend this system!
He didn't wait for to long and one ex Red Star and Herta Berlin player Marko Pantelic who is on high position answered and called him to 'join to help' offering him his hand asking him why is he refusing it !? Letter also mentioned moment from Vidic career when in crucial game for qualification against Slovenia he hijacked ball from player who should kick penalty and missed it and we failed to equalize and missed chance to later win that game and qualify. According to journalist Zeljko Pantic it's secret threat saying you're not so clean too. You contributed to downfall of previous president etc... Some people are also mentioning penalty he made in national squad on World Cup.
More and more people are writing letters in support of Vidic. Present Manchester United player Nemanja Matic said Vidic was right and that only he can save Serbian football! He called president Vucic to appoint Vidic for president! Ex Red Star player Ognjen Koroman said championship in Serbia has been rigged and that everyone knows that! President of syndicate of professional footballers Mirko Poledica went step forward saying that not only championship has been rigged, but all competitions from youth categories to senior championship too !
Poledica talked about wrong system which is teaching young player to cheat, that skill and work are not important. He talked on TV about hooligan influence in football and club and association decisions, manager influence and bad relationship between association and "football workers". He said football in Serbia is played not for players, coaches or fans, but for officials. He urged for more professionals in association, said how Poland dealt with Hooliganism with bio-metric control. They calculated how much money they pay to UEFA for fines because of hooligans, take that money and invest in bio-metric control and solve problem. Now notorious hooligans can't enter on any football ground in Europe! If fan is sitting on wrong place on stadium he'll get fined, if he make accident get life ban from football. However he clarified that he doesn't expect any change because state has not will to deal with hooligans, but work with them to oppress opposition! Ex football referee Raka Djurovic also talked in support of Vidic saying that referees are coming on highest level directly from concrete leagues without knowledge! He also said there are referees who made mistakes on purpose and that association need to deal with them!
Poledica explained that current president, ex bodyguard of president Vucic, Slavisa Kokeza has privatized football association! He change statute and executive board has 8 of his friends and lower number of football workers, so his will will always prevail! In assembly of football association are only 20 representatives from football clubs and 40 others so even if all first two leagues are for change they would be over voted! LoL
More and more football fans and ex players are taking their stands in this clash and Vidic gain more and more support. We'll see what next days are bringing.
