Mike Ashley owner of Newcastle United football club has been rejected by Mark Arteta, Claudio Ranieri, Patrick Viera, Sam Allardyce and few other candidates for vacant manager job. With pre-season already started he fall in situation where he must act quickly. When you are in rush you make mistakes and he is ready to make big one which will rocket club in Championship and maybe even lower. That blunder he is ready to make is appointing ex-Sunderaland and Championship level manager Steve Bruce! LoL

Yes you read it right! Ex Manchester United player, ex Sunderland and present Sheffield Wednesday coach is only one desperate enough to accept to work with Ashley in next season! Fans must be delighted in so big trance that a lot of them said they won't renew seasonal tickets. According to some news site being Sunderland coach was not so big issue like that they see him as Championship level manager.

His career as manager looks like this:

1998–1999 Sheffield United

1999–2000 Huddersfield Town

2001 Wigan Athletic

2001 Crystal Palace

2001–2007 Birmingham City

2007–2009 Wigan Athletic

2009–2011 Sunderland

2012–2016 Hull City

2016–2018 Aston Villa

2019– Sheffield Wednesday

Recent departure from Aston Villa was memorable when home fans throw cabbage on him after 3-3 draw against bottom side Preston North End after two goals lead. Entire stand shouted for his departure and he was sacked next day. Present job at Sheffield Wednesday is also on shaky legs. Match of the day pundits Ruud Gullit and Danny Murphy thought he is not good signing for Wednesday. He defended himself saying he had some surgeries to recover from and from losing parents.

I think he is one defending minded manager who will soon gather bunch of butchers who will be able only to kick long ball from their half in "safe who is alive" mode. Main tactics would be "Barrel save the water until masters go away" LOL.

Is that something what long suffering Geordie fans want to see after Rafael Benitez ? There is a joke that doctors prescribe watching Newcastle games under Benitez to people who have sleeping disorder. If Ashley made this mistake this will become much worse that it was previous year.

This approach revels what Ashley wants for Newcastle and where he sees this club in next seasons and that is in bottom part of Championship fighting hard to avoid relegation from there until they finally reach their level which is League One. He might wants new derbies with Sunderland which are not even close to come back to Premier League, but suffer in League One. So if they can't come here why don't we come there ? This is not so bad from bet perspective we need such strong side in League One to bet on it often, but I am not so sure fans would like this.

Legend says if Bruce refuse them he has already new joker Peter Reid! LoL why not ? :)

Cheer Up Peter Reid! :)
