Last weekend the 20th round of the Belarusian Football Championship took place. In the central match of the tour the leading BATE played with Slutsk, who took the fifth place, that is the main pursuer of the leading four teams. The remaining teams from the top 4 (Vitebsk, Shakhtar and Dinamo Minsk) met with the middle teams or outsiders of the tournament. Also interesting from the tournament point of view was the game between the Dnepr and Luch - both teams are struggling to save their place in the top league.
The match between BATE and Slutsk took place with the advantage of Borisov, although it is difficult to call it great. Probably, the actions of the BATE players were affected by the heavy calendar of recent weeks, when Borisov had to play on two fronts: in the Belarusian championship and in the Champions League qualifying tournament. In addition, BATE was emotionally emasculated, as much emotion remained in Eindhoven, where BATE lost PSV right to participate in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. Also, the quality of the game was affected by the fact that the coaching staff of the Borisov team tried to make a small rotation, giving rest to some players of the main line-up. During the match both teams had chances to score a goal, but only only one goal was scored - on the 68th minute of the match, when Stanislav Dragoon scored after pass fron Stasevich. Sluck, despite the made efforts, could not recoup. The final whistle set the victory of BATE with a final score: 1-0.
Vitebsk without any problems won Smolevichi, who is the author of the main sensation of the last week, scoring four unanswered goals in their gates. Unlike the Vitebsk Soligorsk Shakhtyor in this match with the outsider of the tournament - Minsk Torpedo, had to make a lot of efforts to achieve a positive result. The match ended with a victory of the "miners" with a score of 3-2, and 3 goals in the meeting were scored from the eleven-meter mark: the players of Torpedo scored twice and Shakhtyor scored once. Minsk Dynamo could to interrupt its losing streak with beating Grodno's Neman in the home arena thanks to the only goal scored by the 64th minute by Croatian legionnaire Nino Galovich.
In the match of outsiders Dnepr and Luch could not find the winner, having completed the meeting without goals scored: 0-0.
