The season ends with another series of scandals and strange decisions of RFU officials. In particular, we are talking about licensing FNL teams to participate in the RPL. Orenburg, Alania, which have problems with their home arena, were under threat. But, oddly enough, the Wings of the Soviets were under threat. The team, which won the Federal Tax Service ahead of schedule, reached the final of the National Cup, may not get into the top football division. What is the problem? Why are football officials not letting strong teams into the RPL?
For what reasons do officials not want to let the Wings of the Soviets into the top division?
As you understand, there should be no problems with the stadium in Samara. It turns out that the financial issue comes to the fore. This is despite the fact that Krylia Sovetov fulfill all their financial obligations to the players, coaching staff and investors.
It turns out that the team still has problems with old debts. Not all issues have been resolved yet. As it turned out, this is not all. It turns out that the RFU is not enough of the official financial guarantees that the team provides.
Reaction of the General Director of Krylia Sovetov Evgeny Kalakutsky
The club's management is well aware of the seriousness of the situation. They are familiar with all the new requirements. At the same time, they could not ensure the fulfillment of each condition.
Kalakutsky said that first you need to know exactly what flaws were made. Only then can conclusions be drawn and measures taken to eliminate them. The management of the club understood that the requirements for the new season are very serious. It was necessary to prepare. Now they have received an intermediate result, on the basis of which further actions can be planned.
The CEO believes that all mistakes can be corrected within a few days. He pointed out that the financial problems are understandable. Now the club's management is working to correct the situation. In the next day or two, the corresponding changes will be made to the documentation. After that, the papers will be sent for a new review to the football officials. He is confident that any current problem can be corrected and the team will receive a license to play in the RPL.
On the one hand, the club has a few more days. The meeting of the appeal committee will take place on May 12. But still, the question remains open. Will the club's management be able to solve this problem or not? Will the best FNL team, the finalist of the National Cup, be forced to ask the RFU for mercy? That is, to make the same request as in Orenburg: make an exception and allow the team to participate in the RPL.
All experts believe that the RFU has gone too far with new stringent requirements. One conclusion suggests itself. Apparently, football officials liked to appoint those who will play in the RPL. Most likely they have already looked after candidates for a place in the top division. Well, these teams cannot yet boast of achievements and results. Will the best clubs in the country now be forced to play in the lower divisions?
