Well dear friends, after my brief introduction I want to delve a little deeper into some issues that I touch in the first post. Talk a little about me, talk little about my passion for soccer and talk about my travel project.
"I cut this guy," they will say, but do not worry, I'll dedicate full posts like this for each pillar they make to this blog. I ask you to be patient, I am not a great writer haha.
But, gentlemen, this is my exclusive post about my beloved football team, it's a great club so I have a lot to write about, that's why I divided the post into 2 parts.
My father was born in the neighborhood of Flores in the Province of Buenos Aires and was the one who adopted this passion. In those moments Racing was a great team, very winning. Then came moments of crisis and the achievements decreased drastically.
My father decides to come to San Juan to study his university career and finally he ends up living here, he knows my mother and that's how we are here today in San Juan, I and all my family, Racing fans of course.
Racing club de Avellaneda, is a football team from Argentina located in the neighborhood of Avellaneda in the suburbs of Buenos Aires. Racing is not just a football team, currently, in the club you can practice hockey, boxing, karate, taekwondo, artistic gymnastics, basketball, and a lot of other sports that I do not remember at the moment.
The club founded in 1903 and from that moment until now its coat has changed many times, and even its colors have varied from a white shirt, then one with yellow and black bands, then one was used with pink and blue paintings and finally in 1910 It was decided to make a shirt to commemorate the colors of the country and that is how the current shirt of celestial and white bands was made.
Although Racing is not a team as well known as River Plate or Boca Juniors, in the past it was the most winning team in the country. In amateurism, it was the first club in the world to win 7 consecutive championships, it was also the first Argentine team to become world champion, beating Celtic Scotland 1-0 with the remembered goal of Juan Carlos "El Chango" Cardenas. That is why the motto that leads the club "The first great" or also The Academy and is for all that belongs to the group of "the 5 great Argentine soccer" with Boca, River, San Lorenzo and his archrival or direct classic as it is said here, Independiente de Avellaneda.
Independent is the historical classic rival of Racing, their rivalry is born due to the next territory they share. Both are in the same neighborhood and their stadiums are incredibly close, I think it is the only place in the world with 2 stadiums so close to each other. I could see that, from the second floor of the Racing stadium, I could see the "Red" Stadium, as they say to Independiente.
As for me, I've never had hate or total rejection of Independiente, the truth I only see as a direct rival. Not as an enemy to kill.
"we are rivals, not enemies"
The stadium of Racing is called Juan Domingo Perón in honor of former President Perón who supported the construction of it. I prefer to call him by his nickname "El Cilindro". It has a capacity of approximately 50,000 spectators and is similar to the Roman Colosseum, it is also nicknamed that way but it is rare to hear it.
It's not so beautiful??.
I have been lucky enough to go to the stadium and see Racing champion in 2014 which was one of the most beautiful and exciting experiences with my father and my family.
One of the most beautiful things that Racing has is its people, I love their fans, their colors, their songs and the way to encourage them in good times and bad. Within the fans there are several organized groups like La guardia imperial, La 95 and the Racing Stones.
How passionate will these people be that long ago made a very characteristic flag today in the club, which was or will not be if it will continue to be, the biggest flag in the world.
La bandera cubre las 3 bandejas del estadio en casi la mitad de las plateas del cilidro, terriblemente grande!!! Una bandera de la puta madre!!
In short, any fan of another club always recognizes that the fans of Racing like it for their loyalty and support to the club
I do not intend to turn them into fans of Racing, much less, but if you share the passion for football, you are reminded to follow this story.
At the beginning of the 2000 the people of Racing, to receive the club, in a match against Independiente, threw rolls of tickts of supermarket! covering half of the court of the arch where the afision was. see it with your own eyes:
A few weeks ago, after the 2018 World Cup ended, the Racing fans and their players made 40,000 blue and white flags to welcome the club back on their season. A beautiful gesture!
Ok guys, this is all for now, racing gives a lot to talk about and I do not want to bore you now with such a long post. I hope you can tell me what the post seemed to them. and I would like to know what team they are and how passionate they are in their club.
Thanks for reading this post, Until next time!
