New York, September 11: Tony Finau has been declared as United States commander Jim Furyk's last pick for the Ryder Cup.

Finau tied for eighth this week at the BMW Championship, which denoted his third straight best 10 complete and eleventh of the season.

The 28-year-old put in the main 10 at three of the current year's majors - just passing up a great opportunity at the US PGA Championship - however his keep going win on the PGA Tour returned 2016.

Furyk declared a week ago that Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau would join his group, and Finau finishes the list.

"What a mind boggling assortment of work this year," Furyk said in an announcement. " All the best 10 completes, the play in the enormous titles and the majors, and after that the present shape, with a second, a fourth and an eighth .

"He checked a considerable measure of boxes and made it inconceivable not to pick him. I'm eager to add him to the group. Tony played well in pivotal turning points this year."

Finau rose to a vocation high fifteenth on the planet rankings on Monday and is anticipating participating at Le Golf National from September 28.

"Regardless i have goosebumps. I'm simply euphoric. I don't know whether I can truly articulate it," he said.

"Every one of the feelings that accompany achieving something to that effect ... it's a blessing from heaven for me. I got the goosebumps when he let me know, and I'm eager to add my aptitudes and ability to the group - a group that is stacked as of now.

"Ideally I convey something to the group that can enable us to bring that Cup back."

The U.S. will send Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Webb Simpson, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Woods, Mickelson, DeChambeau and Finau to France.

The European group is comprised of Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson. Thorbjorn Olesen, Paul Casey, Alex Noren, Tommy Fleetwood, Jon Rahm, Ian Poulter, Francesco Molinari and world number one Justin Rose.
