Strivr, a virtual reality company, started four years ago working with NFL quarterbacks and expanded to work with teams in the NBA and MLB developed a designated software for hockey officials to be part of the game without even waring skates.
Sports in Indiana finally joins the technology revolution
TechStars, A Colorado-based company that operates dozens of business accelerators worldwide plans to start its first sports-technology accelerator in Indianapolis with the close participation of local sports groups and pro teams. The program, announced Tuesday afternoon, involves five local sports organizations, with Indiana Sports Corp., Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the NCAA joining the state’s Next Level Indiana Trust Fund as founding partners.
Amazon executive to bring Hockey to Seattle?
AWS CEO, Andy Jassy joined investors and the NHL ownership group to bring the hockey league expansion team to Seattle. The group, called Seattle Hockey Partners, announced new additions to its ownership team adding new financial capital and tech credibility finally land a new sports franchise close to Amazon headquarters.

California based investment firm Shamrock Capital has led a 30$ million investment round in Pixellot, to help the company expand the market for its automated AI-based sports production technology. Following this round of investment, Pixellot has raised more than $40 million over the past five years. Pixellot is targeting Amateur leagues and niche pro sports like volleyball and handball, as well as women’s and youth sports, represent an enormous opportunity to deliver content to fans, coaches, parents and scouts.
