Ben Revere, who has a career record of 211 steals, failed to grab a chance in Texas.

The Texas Rangers officially announced the release of outfielder revere on Wednesday. Revere joined Texas on a minor league contract in February, but failed to show impressive performances in exhibition games. He played in 13 games and batted .273 (six hits in 22 at-bats) with one RBI. The OPS, which combines on-base percentage (0.333) and slugging percentage (0.318), was low at 0.652.

Revere's eight-year career record, which debuted in the big league in 2010, is .284, seven homers and 198 RBIs. It doesn't have much of a drop in contact skills, but it has little. Instead, he has 211 stolen bases as he is fast-footed. It is 13th among active players. Career High played for Philadelphia in 2014. At that time, he appeared in 151 games and followed with a .306 batting average, two home runs, 28 RBIs and 49 steals.

However, his performance plummeted as of 2016, and he failed to even make it to the Major League last season. His batting average in the Triple-A under the Los Angeles Angels was 0.277 in the season.
