MLB Commissioner Manfred held a press conference after the quarterly general meeting of the owners was held in Orlando, Florida, USA on the 11th, media such as MLB.com reported that Commissioner Manfred said at this event, I am an optimist. The 2022 regular season will proceed as scheduled on April 1st.An agreement will be reached before that.

Although it is difficult from the start of spring camp training prior to the regular season due to the prolonged lockout, Commissioner Manfred showed strong confidence in an agreement with the players union so that the regular league schedule can proceed normally.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Manfred also mentioned at a press conference the introduction of the National League designated hitter system, expansion of the postseason, and an increase in the minimum salary, and said that the owner was willing to accept it.
