The New York Yankees will play the opening game without Aaron Hicks, the main player.

Hicks, a middle-ranking player in the U.S., received a second Cortisone injection to relieve back pain, the Associated Press reported on Wednesday.

Hicks, who felt pain in his waist while training for batting in early March, had already been treated with cortisone injections on the 14th.

Fortunately, it does not appear to be a serious injury. Yankees manager Aaron Boone predicted that Hicks will be able to return around the second week after the opening.
