Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was named Player of the Year at the Toronto Blue Jays Awards. Ryu Hyun-jin, who was one of the main players in Toronto's starting lineup, was undefeated.

On the 15th,according to Canadian media Sportsnet announced that Guerrero Jr. won the Player of the Year award at the Toronto Blue Jays Awards,which was conducted by the Toronto Branch of the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA).

Guerrero Jr. received 17 out of 18 votes for the first place, receiving overwhelming support.The remaining No. 1 vote went to Marcus Semien,who moved to the Texas Rangers.

In 161 games this season,Guerrero Jr. had a batting average of 0.311,48 home runs,111 RBIs,123 runs, an on-base percentage of 0.401, a slugging percentage of 0.601,and an OPS (on-base percentage + slugging percentage) of 1.002. He took the lead in home runs, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and runs scored.

Guerrero Jr. won the American League Hank Aaron Award, Silver Slugger, and All MLB First Team. In addition, he finished second in the American League MVP voting after Shohei Ohtani.

An American League Cy Young Award winner, Ray was named Pitcher of the Year and Performance Development.

Ray took 193⅓ innings in 32 games this season, posting a 13-7 record with a 2.84 ERA and 248 strikeouts.He overtook Ryu Hyun-Jin as the Toronto ace and took the lead in ERA and strikeouts.

But Ray, who became a free agent,left Toronto and signed a five-year, $115 million contract with the Seattle Mariners.

Alek Manoah was named Rookie of the Year.Manoah, who made his major league debut this season,played in 20 starts (111⅔ innings) and recorded 9-2, an ERA of 3.22 and 127 strikeout.
