On Monday, October 15th, 1917, the Chicago White Sox defeated the New York (now San Francisco) Giants at Polo Grounds in New York to clinch the 14th World Series four games to two. It was the second World Series championship for the White Sox franchise and the third that was won in New York. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.
