On Thursday, October 9th, 1919, the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park in Chicago to clinch the 16th World Series five games to three. It was the first World Series championship for the Reds franchise and third that was won in Illinois. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.

Note: This World Series was also impacted by the Black Sox Scandal, in which several White Sox players are alleged to have thrown the series due to their involvement in gambling. However, this article will only focus on the series itself.
