On Saturday, October 8th, 1927, the New York Yankees defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates at Yankee Stadium in New York to win the 24th World Series four games to none. It was the second World Series championship for the Yankees franchise and the eighth that was won in New York. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.
