On Wednesday, October 10th, 1956, the New York Yankees defeated the Brooklyn (now Los Angeles) Dodgers at Ebbets Field in New York to win the 53rd World Series four games to three. It was the 17th World Series championship for the Yankees franchise and the 21st that was won in New York. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.

5. #9 Hank Bauer (Yankees)- RF

Larsen earned player of the game in game five, pitching the only perfect game in World Series history, as well as the first in 34 years up to that point and fourth total perfect game in MLB history, with only 23 having been pitched as of 2019.
