On Friday, October 28th, 2011, the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Texas Rangers at Busch Stadium in St. Louis to win the 107th World Series four games to three. It was the 11th (and, as of this writing, most recent) World Series championship for the Cardinals franchise, as well as the 12th that was won in Missouri. These are the top five players that I felt most stood out during the series.
