This is one hell of a fight between two absolute athletic specimens..

In a surprising turn of events, Dana White and the UFC matchmaking staff decided to take away the 'real' title shot from interim champion Colby Covington..

...and instead provide the chance of a lifetime to Kamaru 'The Nigerian Nightmare' Usman.

Known as 'Marty' to his college wrestling friends, Kamaru has become one of the most lethal forces in the UFC's welterweight division. A 5 round mauling of Rafael Dos Anjos a little over one month back solidified Usman's shot at the present king in Tyron Woodley.

'The Chosen One' has his fair share of insanely difficult contenders to chop down and Kamaru may very well be the most dangerous opponent Tyron has faced in years. Darren Till has a case... but he had no wrestling skill set to nullify one of Tyron's greatest assets.

I think that Usman is the more lethal fighter of him and Covington.. Kamaru can actually hurt and finish Woodley from many angles whereas I don't beleive Colby could touch Woodley on either the feet or the floor.

This matchup isn't the most exciting to me as I can see both Woodley and Usman playing it safe. If I'm wrong, we could have a fight of the decade on our hands/

Both fighters are true threats in terms of power and wrestling accumen and it will be interesting to see if a new welterweight is crowned.. and how the division plays out with new blood holding the crown.

We have seen Woodley lose multiple times whereas Usman is the younger, arguably stronger fighter at this point in his career. If Usman is the underdog, a true upset may be in play.

I look forward to this matchup along with many others which will place welterweight among one of the more entertaining divisions in 2019. Are you looking forward to this matchup?

Who ya got?
