Kayla Harrison, 27 years old, will face Brittney Elkin on June 21 on Chicago, at PFL 2, which will also serve as her MMA debut.

She’s a champion twice over, but Kayla Harrison is a little anxious about Thursday night. Harrison was the first American judoka to win an Olympic gold medal. She won the prize at the 2012 Olympic in Rio de Janeiro. She would go on to defend her title by winning the gold medal again at the 2016 Olympics in London. She did it two times in four years.

The fight is receiving a huge amount of publicity due to Harrison’s accomplishments in the world of Judo which includes winning a Gold Medal in the Olympics.

However Elkin (3-4-0) is ‘confident’ she’s going to come away with the upset in June.

“It’s a huge opportunity and I feel confident. I have been released from Bellator in order to take this fight with PFL, it is a one-fight contract.” Elkin told WMMA Rankings.

This will gonna be a big fight in MMA this coming thursday and a new world for Kayla Harrison.

So who do you think will win? Kayla Harrison, a Judo world champion? Or Brittney Elkin, a veteran MMA fighter?
