Honda rider Marc Marquez claimed to be happy with the results of the Czech MotoGP despite failing to win on Sunday (05/08/2018). According to Marquez, the most important thing now is to widen the distance with Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha) in the MotoGP rider standings. "I am not in a place to fight. I see that Valentino Rossi is behind," Marc Marquez was quoted by BolaSport.com from Speedweek. "The target for this weekend is to have more profit (from Rossi). We were 46 points away, now we are 49 points, (I am) superior," said the Spaniard.

In the Czech MotoGP race, Marquez managed to add 16 points because he finished third. Now, Marquez is firmly on top of the standings with a collection of 181 points. Actually, Rossi has the chance to finish better than fourth. This is due to Rossi starting the race in second place. However, Rossi who was at the forefront, his appearance dropped in the half of the race. Luckily, on the last lap Rossi was able to win a duel with Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda) to secure fourth place. Related to the Czech MotoGP race, Marquez admitted he was not too total because he chose to play safe.

"Today, I don't have a good feeling. I see that it's very easy to fall and I think it's better to secure the points," said Marquez. "This circuit is a circuit where I make a lot of effort so being on the podium is a good thing," Marquez added. Meanwhile, the 2018 MotoGP race series will return to rolling next week. 2018 MotoGP will hold its 11th race at Red Bull Ring, Austria, on August 10-12, 2018
