Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso admitted he did not really think about the distance between himself and Marc Marquez in the standings while the 2018 MotoGP racer. He called the speed of his motor does not differ much with the Repsol Honda racer.

Currently, Dovizioso occupies the fourth position standings with 88 points. He is 77 points adrift of Marquez who topped the standings after winning the German MotoGP race, some time ago.

"It's very much, but right now I'm more worried about the problems during the race, I do not think about Marc before the race," said Dovizioso.

"Marc did everything right in a lot of races, so he has a great edge - our speed is very much the same as Marc's," he added.

Dovizioso did not appear as impressive last season. This time he failed to rival Marquez who appeared dominant since the beginning of the season.

Marc Marquez won five of nine MotoGP races in 2018. Andrea Dovizioso won just once. In fact, the Italian rider had just been on the podium twice this season.
