BRNO - Movistar Yamaha Team racer Valentino Rossi said that his YZR-M1 is not fully prepared to face the 11th MotoGP series which will take place at the Circuit of Red Bull Ring, Austria, on Sunday 12 August 2018 at night WIB. The reason is, the Italian passport driver has not felt the significant acceleration in the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer's development.

After failing to get a podium position in the 2018 Czech Republic MotoGP, Rossi again underwent tests to try to improve the performance of the Yamaha motorbike at the Brno Circuit, on Monday 6 August 2018, or the day after the Czech race. Rossi feels that the iron horse acceleration is still lacking, so he can only finish fourth when he finishes in the 10th MotoGP series.

No doubt, Rossi also focused on developing the performance of his motorcycle's electronic devices in order to improve its acceleration later. However, despite having sufficient development, Rossi still feels that the Yamaha motorbike is still not ready to race at the Austrian MotoGP 2018.

"It's a good test because it gets hot weather, just like yesterday's race (Czech Republic MotoGP 2018). We work (especially on electronic devices) to accelerate and try to find ways to be able to take advantage of the condition of the tire properly during the race, "Rossi said, quoting from Crash, Tuesday (07/08/2018).

"We managed to develop small things in acceleration. We managed to get positive things. However, I don't think that is enough and will not be ready if I have to perform at the Austrian MotoGP because we have to unite everything, "concluded Maverick Vinales's teammate.
