Christopher Bell narrowly defeated Carson Hocevar and Kyle Larson in an intense overtime finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, clinching another thrilling NASCAR Cup Series win.

Bell, piloting his Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, took the lead on the final lap, just as a caution flag waved in overtime following a crash involving Josh Berry. He held a slim advantage on the outside, ensuring his place at the front of the pack.

“We were at our best during that last lap,” Bell remarked.

The 30-year-old from Oklahoma now boasts 10 career victories in the Cup Series.

Austin Cindric, driving his Team Penske Ford, had been in the lead before a collision with William Byron, the Daytona 500 winner, with just three laps remaining. This incident ultimately set up the overtime period.

Kyle Busch finished in seventh place, extinguishing any hopes of breaking his winless streak in the Cup Series. Despite winning the Atlanta Truck Series race on Saturday, Busch is still searching for his first Cup victory since 2023, following the end of his historic 19-year streak of at least one win per season.
