Yarborough edges out fellow champions Darrell Waltrip and Ned Jarrett with three of them from 1976-78. While Waltrip also has three championships while driving the 11, Yarborough has 55 wins (to Waltrip's 43), 158 top fives and 172 top tens in 237 races.

After a brief respite racing for a few other teams, he returned again in 1977, left again, then returned to run the first half of the 1988 season before suffering a career-ending injury. However, Allison scored 25 wins, 89 top fives and 111 top 10's during his stint in the 12.
