After winning their previous 2 matches, Brooklyn Nets travel to State Farm Arena, where they will face off against Atlanta Hawks for the 3rd time this season.

Brooklyn Nets enter this fixture as the 7th team in the East where they sit with a 34-33 record. Looking at their last 5 matches, Brooklyn Nets were defeated by Washington Wizards (116:125), Charlotte Hornets (112:123) and Miami Heat (117:88). Despite their poor run of 3 consecutive defeats, Brooklyn nets managed to bounce back with 2 consecutive wins against Dallas Mavericks (127:88) on Tuesday and Cleveland Cavaliers (113:107) on Thursday. As it stands now, Brooklyn Nets seem to be "playoff bound", however with a tough schedule in front of them, they are not yet out of the "safe zone".

Atlanta Hawks on the other side are 12th in the league, with an overall record of 22-44 and a 2-3 record in the last 5 fixtures. Looking back at their last 5 matches, Hawks managed to win against Minnesota Timberwolves (131:123) and Chicago Bulls (118:123), but were defeated by Chicago Bulls in their 1st encounter (161:168), Miami Heat (114:113) and most recently by San Antonio Spurs (104:111).

Unlike Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks have no chance of finish in the playoffs. Despite that, Hawks have improved drastically this season, which just might point towards a bright future next season.

Hawks will come into this match without Alex Poythress and Omari Sleppman, while Dwayne Dedmon is listed as doubtful. The visiting team, Brooklyn Nets will remain without Treveon Graham and Shabazz Napier.

Despite missing Treveon Graham, the Nets have got Rodion Kurucs to replace him, so they seem to be set at the guard position. With that, I don't see Brooklyn Nets having any issues in the offensive end against Hawks, who possess one of the worst defences in the league. Their defensive issues are most notable inside the paint, simply because they lack any good big men, which is something I believe Brooklyn Nets will exploit. On the other side, Atlanta Hawks have not been terrible recently. While they struggle due to lack of any quality, they have improved and I do see they have got some fight left in them. One of the players that I like in the Hawks squad is the rookie Trae Young, who has proven to be a huge nuisance for any team Hawks face. Taking all into consideration, we could be looking at two bets here. While I would not be surprised if Atlanta manages to keep the match within 4 points, this one seems to be too close to call out the winner. Instead, we will check out the over/under market. With a match that is expected to be a fast-paced one, with plenty of shots and ultimately plenty of points the over market is much more appealing. The last two times Brooklyn Nets played against Atlanta Hawks, the final score was rather high, and I do not expect it to be any different tonight. Expect this one to end in high 230s.

Prediction: Over 235.00 points
