After the Brooklyn Nets traded D’Angelo Russell to the Golden State Warriors, everybody doubts that D’Lo will play for the Warriors long term. They believe that the Warriors will just use Russell as a trade asset that can be used to replace Kevin Durant’s place. They can find a very valuable trade offer in exchange for Russell. Russell will take Klay Thompson’s position for the meantime while he is healing from his injury.
But despite all the trade rumors circling around D’Lo’s name, coach Steve Kerr expressed his excitement about coaching D’Angelo Russell.
The Warriors really got a valuable gem in D’Angelo Russell. He’s a 23-year-old future superstar. But for now, he will be making some adjustments playing alongside Stephen Curry in Steve Kerr’s system. He will not be the focal point now in offense unlike in Brooklyn where he is always the first option. Now, he has to adjust his game and help the Warriors can make things work out.
