The Boston Celtics are championship contenders last season led by six-time all-star and NBA champion, Kyrie Irving. The Celtics have a brilliant coach in Brad Stevens and a young talented roster. But all of that ends up to become a failure. Many people believe that Kyrie is not a great leader. Remember that Irving left the Cleveland Cavaliers to be the main man and to lead a team. But from what we saw and how the Celtics finished their season last year, it was disappointing.
During the NBA Media Day, Kyrie Irving reflects on how he failed as a leader in Boston.
Irving had a lot of issues last season with the Boston Celtics, calling out his teammates without stepping up on his own and being distant towards his teammates and the team. He admits it. He failed and he doesn’t want that to happen again in Brooklyn. Now that he is with the Nets, he will have a brand new start and let’s hope that he became successful this time.
It will be a huge challenge for him again carrying the Nets without Kevin Durant by his side. We saw D’Angelo Russell brought the Nets to the playoffs last season, now we’re going to see if Kyrie Irving can also do that or even reach greater heights.
