Hello Scorum Fans! Today I present to you Episode 69 of NBA Highlights, and for today's Episode, we will have a short recap of Game 6 of the NBA Finals match between the Toronto Raptors VS the Golden State Warriors where the Raptors defeated the Warriors, 114-110 on Thursday Night!
The long wait is over as the Toronto Raptors finally won their first ever NBA Title in franchise history. It was a well-deserved win and the Jurassic Park goes wild celebrating their championship. The new King of the North Kawhi Leonard did it again and end another dynasty aiming for a three-peat.
It was a tough series for the Golden State Warriors as they suffered too many injuries and Stephen Curry needed to step up to carry the team. Warriors escaped elimination in game 5 but it cost them Kevin Durant's ruptured Achilles. And in game 6, another man was down and this time, it was one of the splash brothers, Klay Thompson. Klay suffered a torn ACL after an awkward landing from a layup in transition. Klay returned to just take the three throw sots and after that, he did not return.
Kawhi Leonard struggled shooting the three but still managed to score 22 points and 6 rebounds. Kyle Lowry was red hot to start the game and finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists while Pascal Siakam added 26 points and 10 rebounds. But among the top scorers, Fred VanFleet was the X-Factor. He took big shots and drained them. He scored 22 points hitting 5 threes. He was the game changer.
